Melbourne May Day 2012

There was a larger than usual assembly at this year’s May Day Rally outside Trades Hall. The banners give a good idea of the range of groups and issues represented at the march.

It was conducted in the same lively spirit as usual, although Sharon Firebrace’s welcome to country was a little more fierce this year. There were also a good range of folks in the crowd from kids to codgers, along with the obligatory comrade dogs. All in all, a thoroughly successful May Day.
