ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF THE MELBOURNE BRANCH
The annual meeting of the Melbourne Branch of the ASSLH will be held on Thursday 14th December 2017, at the Victorian Trades Hall, Meeting Room 1, from 5.30 to 7.30pm.
The AGM will include reports, election of office-bearers and general business. Please send all enquiries and items for the agenda to Peter Love, President of the Melbourne Branch.
The closing date for the December edition of Recorder will be on Friday 1st December. Recorder will be distributed from Monday 4 December.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF THE AUSTRALIAN SOCIETY FOR THE STUDY OF LABOUR HISTORY (FEDERAL)
Members of the Australian Society for the Study of Labour History are invited to our Annual General Meeting (4 pm) and yearly ASSLH dinner (6:30 pm – RSVP essential).
Friday 8 December 2017 (venue in Sydney to be confirmed, but it will be close to Central Station).
The November edition of Labour History, a special issue: Labour History and the “Coolie Question” (edited by Diane Kirkby and Sophie Loy-Wilson) will be launched at the dinner.
The AGM will include the election of office bearers for 2018, a discussion of the future directions of the Society, and the funding of the journal, Labour History. New members of the Society are welcome to attend.
Please note that membership of a branch of the Society (Brisbane, Canberra, Illawarra, Melbourne, Perth, South Australia (formerly Adelaide), or Sydney, are automatically made members of the federal Society and can vote, and can stand for election.
