RED FILM FESTIVAL: 6.30pm UTC Friday 16 October:  Menace (1976) –screening introduced by filmmaker John Hughes  The early cold war years in Australia were characterised by attempts to suppress political dissent including banning of the Communist Party. In Menace we see the experience from the perspective of those who defended democratic freedoms. 70 minutes. More films to come! Details HERE.

 

CENTENARY TOAST AND BOOK LAUNCH: Friday 30 October marks 100 years since the founding of the Communist Party of Australia. Join us for a toast and the launch of the new book Comrades! Lives of Australian Communists.
