Information for speakers

Location

The conference sessions will be held in the Lade (South Wing), Stafford and Junior Common (Eakins Hall) rooms at Queen’s College. If you need any help during the conference someone will be able to help you at the registration desk in Eakins Foyer. Click here to download a map of the buildings in the College.

 

Presentation format

The final programme has been published on the website. Panels are 1 1/2 hours in length, with three presenters in each. A maximum of 20 minutes is allocated for each paper, with 10 minutes for questions and discussion. Session times are allocated by theme. There are two parallel streams on Wednesday and three on Thursday and Friday. These sessions will be held in the Lade, Junior Common, and Stafford Rooms at Queen’s College.

 

Technology

All rooms at Queen’s college have a laptop and projector screen. DVD facilities are also available. If you have any special requirements please contact the conference convenors. If you would like your PPT slide uploaded to the computer prior to your session please let us know and we can arrange this for you.

 

Book CoverConference Proceedings 

Abstracts, refereed papers not on the conference theme, and non-refereed papers will be available as an electronic conference proceedings with an assigned ISBN. A link will be provided to participants and the proceedings will be published on the Labour History Melbourne website.

Refereed Papers and Conference Book

All refereed papers have undergone blind academic review by two independent scholars. An edited book of some of these papers will be published in time for distribution at the conference. Additional copies of the book will be available for sale at the conference and via the website.
